Bastion Marie in Kronach

Very, very tasty food! Very child-friendly and the view is awesome, the location anyway. Highly recommended and we'd love to come back. It was decorated very nicely to match the season. All of the staff were very friendly. Satisfied all round!

Very friendly staff and just like an oasis of well-being. Even if some complain about prices, I think the prices are absolutely fair for the performance! I am happy to recommend it! Delicious, friendly, great view over Kronach!

We went here for lunch today. The food was very good and the portions were adequate. Unfortunately, we had to draw attention to ourselves to get a menu. In order to be able to give up food and drinks, we had to draw attention to ourselves again. It took another 45 minutes for the food to reach us (although the beer garden was not fully occupied). The service staff seemed overwhelmed. However, the ambience is very nice!

Fantastic location! We were a little disappointed with the food, rather mediocre. We expected slightly sophisticated cuisine, without convenience products (rösti should be made by yourself, for example). The food was prepared a bit carelessly, there was no decoration (not even a lettuce leaf or similar). Service friendly but very inattentive (despite little occupied tables). If you only ask once if everything is OK and on this occasion you don't even ask about drinks reorders, that's not good service for us.

Outrageous prices. Demand the adult price for children's portions. This restaurant cannot be recommended to families. Quality and selection only mediocre. You charged EUR 11.90 per serving for pasta with ketchup. We find this very inappropriate! It's just unfair! Hence this recession ...

We were guests at Bastion Marie for the first time yesterday evening. The food was excellent, the atmosphere a dream and the service extremely friendly and accommodating. A successful evening! We would definitely like to come back.

The beer garden was well filled that Sunday afternoon. There seemed to be enough service staff. Unfortunately, they were totally overwhelmed. Everything took forever and we always had to draw attention to ourselves so that a service person came to our table.

Overworked staff and unfriendly. We waited 1.5 hours for our food until it turned out that the order didn't even make it into the kitchen. Then the waitress got cheeky. Corona distance rules are also a foreign word there. Never again.

A very nice place to relax and eat well. The view over Kronach is super nice. The menu is small but nice and we got lunch at 3pm.

Great views and sunset, cozy places under the trees, great food and delicious cocktails. This is how a summer evening in the Bastion Marie can be described. We would also like to come back here.

Of particular note are the location directly on the Rosenberg Fortress, the super nice staff, the hearty good food and the delicious beer from the local brewery. In general, Kronach is worth a visit, a cute medieval town with great surroundings and all absolutely barefoot.

I can only say positive things about our visit to the Bastion. The service was very friendly and attentive. I still rave about the roast beef. The quality of the food was consistently excellent. Here, other catering establishments, not just in Kronach, can take an example. From me clear recommendation!
